K-Arma

/ˈkɑː(r)mə/

In Hinduism and Buddhism, the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.

The word comes from Sanskrit karman ‘action, effect, fate’. We believe in Karma.

We are a unique legal proposition unlike any law firm before us.
We have a significant and unrivalled commitment to help those that need access to justice and defend those that cannot defend themselves.

We are profit with purpose, structured such that up to 30% of our legal business will be focused on helping others at no cost.

When we undertake litigation at no cost to our client, where we recover the costs from our opponent, we will ask the Court to make an order under section 194 (3) of the Legal Services Act (2007) to pay the costs we have recovered to the Access to Justice foundation.

On IMPACT cases – which are cases we have specifically taken on to right a wrong or which we believe may lead to a positive impact on society, we act on our IMPACT funding structure which will be a unique no win no fee agreement. If we win and recover costs for our clients, we will undertake to the Court that we will donate up-to 100% of those costs to a charity of our clients’ choice.

ARMA has top tier legal skills which allows us an unusual opportunity in Pro Bono work. We can make the most complex, expensive legal activity available for those who would never normally be able to afford it.

We believe Access to Justice for the disadvantaged is the right thing for us to do.
